Activity Tour "A" - Oklahoma City
Oklahoma
City Zoo – Ranked among the top three family-friendly
zoos in the country, the Oklahoma City Zoo offers dramatic views
of the world’s most exotic animals in naturalistic settings.
From lions, tigers and bears, to elephants, rhinos, giraffes,
gorillas, alligators, snakes, giant tortoises, sea lions, and
marine life from around the globe, the zoo’s extensive animal
and plant collections are guaranteed to fascinate children and
adults alike. |

Science Museum
Oklahoma (Omniplex) – Discover the wonder of science at the
Smithsonian-affiliated Science Museum Oklahoma (locally known as
the Omniplex), home to more than 350 hands-on
science exhibits, ranging from the two-story “Gadget Tree” tree
house and nature exhibit to the earthquake simulation room.
Oklahoma's premier science museum is also home to a planetarium,
a model train exhibit, an IMAX theater, aviation and space
artifacts, Native American artifacts, the International
Gymnastics Hall of Fame, and the International Photography Hall
of Fame. |

Oklahoma
State Firefighter’s Museum – Containing a remarkable
collection of antique fire apparatus and equipment dating back
to the mid-1700s, the Firefighter’s Museum displays an extensive
collection of vintage fire trucks as well as the world's largest
fire department patch collection. |

ASA
National Softball Hall of Fame and Museum - A
walk-through history of one of the most popular team sports in
the United States, the Softball Hall of Fame hosts tournaments
at all levels, and its displays highlight the accomplishments of
the U.S. Olympic Team and the NCAA College World Series. |
Activity Tour "B" - Oklahoma City
Harn
Homestead – Staked in the Land Run of 1889, the Harn
Homestead, just south of the state capitol, offers a wide
variety of hands-on programs depicting the daily life of
Oklahoma pioneers. Children have the opportunity to experience
first-hand territorial farm life and assist with household and
barn chores. The homestead includes numerous historical
buildings, from the original 1904 Victorian Queen Anne-style
home built on the property, to a dairy barn, a one-room
schoolhouse, and the first two-story home built in the
territory. |

Myriad Botanical
Gardens – Nestled amidst the skyscrapers of downtown
Oklahoma City, the Myriad Botanical Gardens is a 17-acre,
nationally recognized garden featuring the Crystal Bridge
Tropical Conservatory, an amazing 224-foot-long, glass-enclosed,
circular jungle graced with towering palm trees, exotic
plantings, crashing waterfalls and abundant animal life. The
botanical gardens are a lush retreat of winding paths and calm
waters in the heart of the city. |

Oklahoma State Capitol
– Although most famous for its active oil wells, the Oklahoma
State Capitol is also rich with more than 100 works of art
celebrating the state’s unique and diverse history. From
monumental bronze sculptures, to magnificent murals, portraits
and paintings, the art housed in the State Capitol creates
beauty and interest for thousands of tourists each year. |
